Last weekend was one of the nice weekends that we have spent with the Ooi’s family. We booked a BBQ facility at one of the Yarra Valley wineries on Saturday. Guess what, it is FOC!!! Selwyn found out this winery in the Internet and rang up to make a booking. When we arrived at the destiny we were amazed by the beautiful scenery ahead of us. The BBQ facility is just located in front of the wine cellar and facing a beautiful big wine yard! It was so relaxing having the Barbe in such a nice environment. Needless to say, we enjoyed our fellowship and foods there. The girls love it and they even strolled around the wine yard after the meal. To our surprise it is not only the free Barbe facility that they provide, they also provided excellent services to make sure we enjoy our Barbe!!! They provided us with the BBQ tools set and even help us to wash our utensils! What an excellent service we received. Before we leave, Selwyn decided to get a wine from them as a form of appreciation for their service even thought they told us upfront that there is no obligation for us to get any wine from them.
The fun continues…
Sunday after the church service, Uncle Bernard brought us to the Caribbean Market at Scoresby near to church. It was recommended by one of his friend. The market is located at a very beautiful park and there is even Japanese garden in the park. The market is huge; with at least I think 100 stores in it selling all sorts of stuffs from groceries to clothing and the pricing are pretty good. We managed to get some good bargain for the winter clothing. The only set-off point was the weather, it was freezing! However, when we were about to leave the market around 2pm, we finally feel the warm sunshine. We were able to take a short walk at the beautiful park and take some photos before heading for our late lunch. I would want to go back to this market, not to shop, but to spend some relaxing time at the park and perhaps try out the chairlift :)
